The Imperium Daleks

During the time where the Dalek empire reached it's highest point, the Daleks extended their power beyond their home world of Skaro into the further reaches of the universe. Through their technological ingenuity and quest to eradicate 'lesser' species the Daleks established a series of off-world colonies. These worlds were mainly used for strengthening the Daleks war machine; stripping and acquiring resources, enslaving the populace and building star ships for their intergalactic fleet.

Since the Dalek Emperor coordinated the war effort from Skaro, it became obvious to establish a hierarchy of command for each of the colony planets, therefore it created the 'Imperium'.
These distinctive looking Daleks could be considered colonial governors, each controlling their own world for the empire. The casing design echoes the hierarchical ideology the Daleks adhere to for the structure of their society, that of a pyramid with the Emperor at the top and drone at the bottom.

The Imperium had a direct connection to the Emperor and would carry out it's commands such as allocating resources, defending Skaro and making tactical strikes to further their cause and dominate new territory.
